The quest for boulder shoulders is still continuing and my improvements were noted by my Dad (who is obsessed with MyProtein clothing) this weekend – however he knows I am working on the boulders so he might have been saying it just to make me feel better (it worked). So training is awesome at the moment, I am increasing my weights every session even if it is just a tiny increase, it’s something. Back sessions on Thursdays are getting mental and I can really feel it the next couple of days afterwards. I uploaded a video of wide grip lat pulldowns and got some good feedback from people – a good boost to the old motivation. I have uploaded it onto my website;
Total Niki Training
Calories are up again by another 200 a day and my weight is still the same as it was when I was consuming 400 less a day AND doing 2 hours extra exercise a day! Totally crazy, but you live and learn and everyday is a school day for me. At the moment I am learning more about what my body prefers in terms of ‘type’ of foods as I have my calorie allowance and I have created my own meal plans and macros for the days that I am training. I am currently following a carb cycle plan having high carb days on my three leg day sessions. So far from what I can see it is working, time will tell I suppose with my progress pictures and weight (to a point).
This weekend was possibly one of the busiest I have had and I felt a bit mental but good at the same time. On Friday evening after completing my legs session at 6am and a full day of work, I washed the horse ready for competing on Saturday. It took me a record 3 hours and he was sparkling first time round. On Saturday morning I went to the gym at 6am and did my shoulder workout, then went food shopping and completed the Park Run with Liz (fellow muscley bitch) then got ready all suited and booted for competing and then off to see if the horse was all clean and then load him into the horse box and travel to the show. I have to point out at this stage that my horse is black and white with white hairy feet and it was pissing it down all day. So he was wrapped within an inch of his life all day until he was about to going into the ring. We did well at the first round and got through to the evening performance but unfortunately didn’t get placed which surprised me a bit but then this is what happens when you compete, sometimes the judge likes you and sometimes they don’t. I got some lovely comments and feedback from people saying they thought we had won and that he looked amazing – but the main thing is he did me proud and he didn’t kill me, so everyone is a winner. I didn’t get back home till midnight and literally collapsed in my bed.

The next day was breakfast with the family, a nice relaxing few hours at the yard and then I cooked an Indian meal from scratch, which although doesn’t look that attractive it actually tasted amazing and I surprised myself as I can’t cook.

And finally onto Facebook ‘Friend’ message of the week (yes its back);

Me: why?
Facebook ‘Friend’: I would like to eat your *cat (*this word has been replaced to try and make his message more easy on the eyes – I am sure you can work out what word was used)
