So before I update you on my latest gym expeditions I need to make a formal retraction for an incorrect fact stated in my last blog. Phil (who could be one foot taller than me – yet to be confirmed) is not 57 he is in fact 39, which is only 3 years older than me but I think he looks considerably older.
Training is going well and so is the current diet. My calorie intake is still up at 1500 and I think that will go up again in a week or so if I continue to lose weight, which I am. Who would have thought it, food increased and exercise dramatically reduced and the weight is still coming off – slowly but it is coming off. I am still continuing to get hungrier everyday but I think that is normal and will hopefully subside as my food intake increases and my metabolism starts to stabilise.
I haven’t really been up to much apart from the usual, training, trying not to think about cake and pizza, studying, trying not to think about cake and pizza, DIY at home (I am turning into an adult), trying not to think about cake and pizza and attending Body Building comps. The last competition I went to was the IBFA Yorkshire and I met Sarah Mims from @sarahs_bikinis who is my bikini sponsor for the first time. We were supporting fellow sponsored athlete Mark Kilgannon and it was lovely to meet both of them. In fact there were quite a few people at that show that I knew so it was good to catch up with people and see what’s going on with their training/competing. It’s quite inspiring and motivational to go and watch a Body Building comp and helps when you get a bit frustrated with your progress or diet, so will be going to watch more to keep me inspired.
I am trying to do more with my time than just going to the gym, working, sleeping and thinking about food that I shouldn’t eat. So I am making a conscious effort to see friends and go out and do things. This weekend I will be taking my horse out competing for the first time this year and we will be doing an in hand class to start off with. For those of you not familiar with Horse Showing terminology this is were you run alongside the horse in walk and trot showing off their best features, which is at the moment his massive peachy bum. This will be an interesting show for two reason; firstly he is very fluffy as he is getting his winter coat so might resemble a sweat monster when competing and secondly he gets a bit wild when out competing. Now seeing so he is the size of a house in terms of both height and width then it will be interesting to see if I can keep him calm, keep all hooves on the floor and not destroy anyone else competing at the same time. If we do not make it on to BBC News due to severe destruction, updates will be provided in my blogs.
I have two sad updates to inform you of; there have been NO Facebook ‘Friend’ messages of a vulgar and humorous nature and from 20th October I will no longer be working with Phil (who could be one foot taller than me – yet to be confirmed). Phil is obviously beside himself in total inner turmoil and depression and is finding each day harder to deal with knowing that his days of sitting next to me and being verbally abused are reducing. I will keep you all posted on his progress in moving on and coping with the loss of no longer working with me.
