Sniffing Phil’s panini

Day 4 of off-season diet and all is going well. My love for turkey mince and porridge is still strong and my diet has seen a small increase in calories for this week to try and get me back to consuming correct levels before I start prep again in December. I am finding that I am starting to feel more hungry even though I am taking on 200 calories more each day and consuming carbs. So I am not entirely sure whether this is just my body adjusting to the change in food and intake or due to me lifting heavier now because I have more energy coming in or a combination of both. It could also be a result of my metabolism changing but I wouldn’t have thought that would change that quickly. I am hoping that this hunger will start to fade and that I will start to feel full and remain full for a bit longer. The strange thing is that when I was consuming 1300 calories and no carbs I didn’t feel this hungry.

One thing that I am struggling with a bit which I don’t think is necessarily a bad thing is allowing myself to ‘be a bit normal’ and maybe have some toast for my breakfast or accept a biscuit from someone at work without panicking and crying inside that I might become fat. At work today around 1 million cakes have been brought in and the most amazing tasting samosas, all for charity. But there will be more cakes tomorrow and its my weekly weigh in so I daren’t have a treat today but I might have a cake if I fancy one tomorrow as long as I don’t panic and go crazy. I think my cravings must be getting worse as my desire to sniff peoples food is increasing to the point were I asked Phil (who could be 1 foot taller than me) if I could sniff his panini which caused Carl (who shops at Ocado) to spit his food out. Phil’s panini was that hot its steamed my glasses up.

This weeks Test Tuesday saw the team completing a Mental Age quiz in which all of us scored below our actual age, I don’t think mine was a good score and I think the quiz might have been broken. Carl (who shops at Ocado) scored 31 and he is 35, Phil (who could be 1 foot taller than me) scored 27 and he is about 57 and I scored 7 and I am 36!!!

Training is going well and I am lifting a lot heavier as I need to build volume in my shoulders. I must have had a good shoulder pump at the gym last night as one guy was mesmerised and couldn’t stop looking whilst I was lifting. I haven’t seen this guy before but I am guessing he has only ever seen women pick up pencils and straws, so I must have blown his mind with my 18kg dumbbells.

And finally I have to publically inform you that Facebook ‘Friend’ message of the week is dying a death. So far the messages I have received have all been nice and normal. I don’t know what is going on, I need to sort it out pronto as they are quite entertaining.
