Day 45 – In a good mood all day (yes I am shocked too)

Woke up slightly earlier than my alarm and again managed to waste loads of time drifting in and out of sleep and checking Instagram. So tomorrow if my alarm doesn’t go off I will try and get back to sleep, and when it does I will spring out of my bed like a new born lamb and not fart arse around wasting time. Managed a good 40 minutes fasted cardio on the treadmill and an abs session. Nearly got stuck in the gym doors (space like tube things) with all my bags, but survived and headed off to work.

Now the next set of words may shock and disturb you slightly as I am still struggling to come to terms with what has happened and am finding it difficult to write about. I have been in a good mood (that’s a good mood for me) all day and even set Niki’s mood board to happy this morning which I didn’t enjoy doing but had to as that was my mood and I had to report it to the world. Even Phil (who is 1 foot taller than me) looked at me in total shock as I announced my mood on the board. It soon changed to ‘Meh!’ but that was only due to work things and not me becoming angry Niki (I do not suffer from split personality disorder even though Phil thinks I do).

Gary (my lunchtime walking partner) and I were joined by Phil today on our walk taking our usual route. We did not see the speed walker and Phil did not comment on any smells (there weren’t any so that’s probably why) and we all came back to work sweaty and slightly sunburnt. Phil’s sweat patches under his armpits were bigger than me – I think he needs to either rethink his deodorant or colour of shirts during warmer periods.

Quick visit to the horse and it’s his day off in the new routine so no riding. Then off to the gym for legs and back. Today’s session started off with deadlifts which were assisted by my new chalk bag


Even though I am back on my carb cycling diet I feel like I have loads of energy and focus, so really pushed the weights again. I lifted heavier than last week and even pushed out more reps to hit failure (about 3 more but its still more). The sweat was pouring off me. I kind of go into a trance when I am in the gym and do what I need to to get through my workout. So as it was very hot and hot in the gym, my armpits were very leaky (maybe I need to rethink my deodorant too) so without thinking I gave them a good wipe down with my gym towel. I happened to glance up at the same as wiping my pits to find a guy looking at me in utter disgust. I continued to give them a good scrub and then moved onto my next set without a care in the world that I had just displayed non-lady like behaviour in public.

My back workout was tough as I was sore from yesterday’s session, but I used more time to recover between sets to make sure that I could keep my form in the following set.

Finished at the gym and headed off to my local beauty salon to get the eyelashes topped up ready for Body Power at the weekend – one has to look glamorous whilst walking round a million stalls trying to get freebies.

I am really pleased with how hard I pushed myself in the gym thi evening but slightly disturbed that I have been happy all day. Hopefully tomorrow I will return to my normal moody self.
