Day 46 – Total weight monster at the gym

Woke up early but still managed to lose a bit of time by day dreaming instead of getting up and getting in the car. However I did complete 45 minutes fasted cardio on the treaders and then joined the morning abs class. I made a bit of a faux pas in that at the end the instructor asked if we should use weights next time, so me (a total mentalist when it comes to weights) puts my hand up and says yes. It seems that that was not the correct answer and using just your body weight is enough, so I hung my head in shame and left the studio.

My mood at work was much improved and the mood board displayed ‘discombobulated’ as I was neither angry, hangry, sad, happy or anything really. Phil (who is 1 foot taller than me) and I carried out a test at work to see how crazy we are. At the start of the test Phil laughed and joked about how my score would be off the charts, it turns out Phil is officially crazier than me. Phil stopped laughing when we compared results and silently went back to his work.

Gary (my lunchtime walking partner) and I went out for our usual walk on our usual route, but something different happened today. We were overtaken by a speed walker who we have never seen before, this guy was practically travelling at the speed of light. We tried to catch up but then got distracted by the cows in the field.

After work I went to the stables and I actually rode my horse – I am still in shock that I have managed to do this on a work night. We went for a gallop round the fields which was relaxing apart from when my horse decided that a more efficient way to travel would be to bounce sideways like a rabbit and throw his head everywhere. This didn’t last long as he is lazy and got tired quite quickly.

On the way to the gym I did my food shop without the aid of chewing lots of gum so that I don’t by treats and my reward was an Americano from Costa.

Tonight’s workout was shoulders and triceps plus biceps as I missed them out yesterday as I ran out of time at the gym. I cant explain what happened but I entered a weight trance and lifted heavier than I have done before. I grunted and sweated like there was no tomorrow and caused a few on the men working out to move away in fear. This drove me further to push the weights and I definitely got to failure on my sets. I don’t think those working out tonight have ever experienced a deranged woman with muscles pushing herself to the limit – I loved it but think I might be a bit stiff tomorrow. I ended up spending two and a half hours at the gym and had to rush around to pack my bags for the next day.

Mood much improved today but I think I need to have my SOS meditation tracks on standby just in case I get seriously angry again. Really pleased with my workout this evening, lets hope I can move my arms tomorrow.
