Woke up slightly later than planned and had to run out of the house like it was on fire in order to get any kind of fasted cardio completed. I managed a very precise 37 minutes on the treadmill accompanied with a very strong coffee which caused a couple of strange looks in my direction, so I quickly sipped on my water to show that I hadn’t completely broken the unspoken cardio rules. The abs session was another tough one and I am managing to master this one movement but I still look slightly deranged and constipated at the same time.
I get to work and I have forgotten my staff pass, so after a few disapproving looks signing in I get a special yellow pass that lets the whole world know I am totally unorganised. Then my laptop decides to stop working and the rage level hits 1 million percent (which I know is not mathematically correct but I am trying to describe how mad I was). To show my rage I hit my keyboard whilst saying every swear word I could think of and Phil (who is 1 foot taller than me) quickly moves away and plugs his earphones in, everyone else gets there heads down. After my porridge and strong coffee the rage is still at maximum capacity, even after meal 3 my mood doesn’t improve. But for the sake of others I stay quiet and listen to music (peaceful music) whilst working. I inform Phil by email that he can now approach me even though he sits right next to me but he still leaves it another half an hour before he dares speak to me and even then its a whisper.
The walk with Gary (my lunchtime walking partner) helped calm me down and I went back to the office refreshed and relaxed to a point. I think I must be detoxing from all the sugars I have had and I am on a major downer, that’s the only explanation I have for the stinky mood I was in in the morning as its quite early on in the prep process.
Off to the visit the horse who is a nice shade of green and brown as he has decided to roll in every pile of poo in his stable and his field, and then off to aerial hoop class. My friend Sexy Sophie teaches this class as well as create my routines and do my hair and makeup for stage – she is a very talented lady. Aerial hoop involves big hoops like hula hoops but made out of metal and covered with a thin fabric (a bit like that stick to itself bandage stuff) which you climb onto and flip around and generally dangle off in artistic ways. It’s a great all over workout as you will be supporting your body weight with some part of your body. We took some pictures with my new gym bag from my sponsor Just Strong Clothing which will be posted tomorrow.
After dangling from hoops I was off to the gym for a killer leg workout. This is a new workout and I loved every minute of it, I used heavier weights and went to failure (as described in my plan) really thinking about the muscle area I was working. I think I will feel it tomorrow but it will be worth it if I look tighter in my legs on stage.
So all in all Monday was a good day even though it started off very badly. Still on track with diet and loving my new training plan.
