Day 41 – Busy but rested

Warning – Sunday is my rest day so this blog is possibly going to be the most boring blog in the world (feel free to close the page down and put the kettle on).

Woke before my alarm and decided to go for a walk rather than do the usual and go to the gym to complete my fasted cardio. So walked from my village into the next town and back again whilst listening to the latest recommended tracks from Apple, which were surprisingly good. Breakfast assisted with a million coffees and my plan change slightly for the day and the next thing I am doing is meal prepping for the entire week. Now I am sure that this is not good for you but I have discovered that if I chew gum during meal prep it stops me from ‘poison testing’ all the food every time I put it in Tupperware boxes.

Before heading off to the stables to actually ride my horse as I have time today, I do some swotting up on pre-call outs and individual routines for a couple of body building federations. I am trying to make sure that my movement between poses flows and that I know where my feet are going so that I don’t look down.

Ride the horse out on the roads and he doesn’t manage to terrify too many people although one man did grab his dog and run away from us. I find that riding out (when the horse is behaving) stops me thinking about the usual things that spin around my head day in day out and I can truly relax and switch off. That might have something to do with the fact that I am never sure if we will complete the ride alive or not.

Back home to shower and pack gym bag and shower bag ready for tomorrow and then I am off out to play bingo with a friend. Unfortunately Lady Luck was not on our side today which in a way was a good thing as you could win Easter eggs. That would have been dangerous and I possibly might have choked to death on one.

So all in all a good boring rest day Sunday, but with important things achieved.
