Day 42 – Am I getting lean?

Saturday started off slightly differently in comparison to every single other day so far in that I did not do fasted cardio. Instead I decided to enjoy my breakfast at home, prep my meals and then go to the gym. I pushed the boundaries even further by doing abs before Fat Fighters and not cardio. Fat Fighters was interesting as it always is but this week we spent the time talking about portion control and watching Mags grapevine and jump around the room whilst she reminisced of the days when she taught classes – let me just point out that she is not old she doesn’t do ‘that shit’ anymore. It was a good meeting in the sense that we all had a good laugh, relaxed a little and didn’t feel as pressured going into a weekend of eating chicken, spinah, white fish, chicken and more spinach.

Rounded Fat Fighters off with a session on my beloved stairway to heaven, quick meal and coffee (very important) and I was off looking at more apartments with Martina. House/apartment viewing is like a workout in itself, you end up lapping the property about 10 times, up and down stairs and sitting down and standing up positioning yourself to understand where you would put the TV.

I felt pretty drained after viewing all those properties but completed my normal activities at the stables and made a super strong coffee to drink on the way to the gym to work shoulders with Mr M. Now firstly I should have been alarmed as Mr M smiled, not only once but quite a few times and at one point even laughed and it definitely was not gas. The reason for this behaviour from Mr M was purely due to the fact that he knew today’s session was going to destroy my shoulders that much that by half way through I could not move my arms to adjust my ponytail or move my hair out of my face. Needless to say that by the end of the session I looked like I have never brushed my hair ever and had no idea on what arms were for and how to use them.

During the session I was quizzed about whether or not I am getting leaner. Sometimes it’s hard to tell when you look at yourself every single day, but the look on Mr M’s face has got me thinking that I don’t, so ‘it’s time to ramp things up’ and that meant destroying my shoulders. I would just like to point out that the shoulder pump going on at the end of the session looked good to me but I darent ask Mr M what he thought as I know he would say it looks like I have never worked my shoulders in my entire life – its all part of his coaching mechanism to get your head in the game.

So, although tired from apartment viewings, energy levels are good. I am still focused on my diet and kind of enjoying the process.
