Day 43 – Action packed day with lots of coffee

So even though I have the day off work I am still up at 5:30 to try out the spinning class at my local Crossfit gym (if that’s the correct terminology). After getting lost 3 times with the attempt at trying to be early, I am late and try to sneak in the back with no luck. The class is tough but not as tough as I thought, so maybe I didn’t put on enough tension on and push myself as hard as I can. One thing that did take a bit of my energy was resisting the urge to strangle the guy two bikes down who kept on grunting and moaning out loud but only in echo of the instructor grunting and moaning. It was a bit unnecessary at times, everyone else managed in a fairly quiet way with perhaps some loud breathing and the odd complaint of possible death. I Head back to my usual gym to do my tricep and bicep routine but really struggle doing this fasted. I am not sure if its because I am doing it fasted or because I have already done a 45 minute spinning class and need to take on some fuel. I only manage to get 3/4 the way through my routine but am lifting heavier than normal, so am happy to leave it there. I could throw in a bit more on Saturday if I feel like I have the energy but need to be careful as I am on a low carb day and will be working shoulders with Mr M.

It was my best mate Jono’s birthday yesterday so we go out on a crafty day out far from the perils of food especially cakes a I am feeling a bit weak when it comes to chocolate brownie at the moment. We first start the day with some adult jobs which involves viewing apartments for me to buy. All this seriousness is soon stopped as we head off to a pottery painting shop which has no cafe so I cant be tempted by food. Jono picks a cupcake money box to paint and I pick a teapot with a cup which fits underneath. Having to concentrate for nearly two hours solid as I am not artistic at all really helps take your mind off training, competing and the bloody diet. Here are the results of my efforts, you will notice a cheeky little swear word painted in the bottom of the teapot. I don’t think the lady that owns the shop has ever had to glaze anything with that word on before.

We move on to visit Hobby Craft as I am going to start knitting to take my mind off eating and training, so if anyone wants any hats let me know. I also buy a unicorn colour in canvas and a rabbit covered in pretend grass – as you do when you are 35 years old.

Quick visit to our other bestie Martina for a catch up on today’s activities and plan for tomorrow as we will be viewing more apartments.

PT session booked with Mr M tomorrow for shoulders and my regular attendance to Fat club in the morning.

The entire day has been fuelled by what feels like a million coffees as I have not stopped going to the toilet. A fab day doing different things with fab people, feeling very happy right now.
