Day starts off like most and its fasted cardio on the stairway to heaven followed by abs. I attend a work colleagues leaving breakfast at our local farm shop and confuse the hell out of the staff by asking for a 4 egg white omelette with two large black coffees because I am very tired. I have to repeat my order 4 times but out comes a very nice 4 egg white omelette. Whilst the staff aren’t looking I wolf down my porridge out of my Tupperware box.
Pretty busy day at work so I don’t get the opportunity to go out for a walk at lunchtime. Today is leg day so its carbs, carbs, carbs and I find myself feeling really full. I am consciously taking on more water so I suppose that is also aiding the full feeling. I normally eat all meals before 4:30 as I get really hungry during the day, but today I am that full I have a meal left over and have that after my weights and final cardio session in the evening.
The gym is pretty quiet tonight so I manage to get through all my leg routine in order and without having to wait.I notice a couple of guys have started copying my leg routine which is cool and I suppose flattering in a way. Then off to the studio for the spin class and it is full to the brim, not good. So the instructor says that she will split the class and half of the time you are on the bike and the rest you are squatting, jumping, doing abs stuff and things like that. I see one girl roll her eyes when this is mentioned and give me the evils, which is a bit unnecessary. So me being me asks the instructor if she is splitting the class purely because I have turned up because if so I will go because people seem a bit pissed (said girl quickly looks away and pretends to fiddle with her bike). Then about a million other people turn up so I don’t feel as bad. I get to stay on the bike which at the time I think is the easier option, at the end that is not the case and I am bloody knackered and my legs are finished. I have spinning first thing in the morning so they best recover in time.
So Monday, a day I normally find draining and unmotivating has turned out to be a very productive day. I have felt pumped all day and really pushed my legs session. It could have something to do with a couple of people commenting on my biceps at work today saying they look really defined – oh the little things that give us a boost.
