Day 23 – 26″ waist equals happy Thursday

So following a conversation with Muscley Bitch Liz at the gym yesterday regarding the size of our waists, I measured mine this morning and its sat comfortably at 26″ which isn’t too bad.

Right glute is still tight and so is my hamstring when I wake up, so fasted cardio is a fast walk on an incline for an hour. A spot of posing practise which I am quite pleased with as my mid section looks to me like it is leaning up well, not perfect but I think enough as to not embarrass myself on stage.

Unfortunately didn’t manage to get out of work at lunch for a walk, however I did manage to burn off quite a few calories by getting angry with Phil (who is 1 foot taller than me). Phil has now decided that I remind him of a character called Brick off the American TV program In The Middle and repeats everything I say in a whisper. The first 100 times was funny, after that it just wanted to strangle him every time he did it. So obviously he does it all the time now.

Today was leg day, so I am up to my eyeballs (I wish) in rice. Totally lost motivation on the way to the gym, but once I got started I got into the swing of things. I did have a quick refocus time in the sauna to warm me up but to primarily get the creases out of my gym top as I looked a bit scruffy. Today’s leg workout was powered by Madonna’s greatest hits – I am not sure if I should be admitting that to the world, but I still think I am cool. Finished legs and completed the arms finisher which had me sweating my kitties off (I have a vest top which has this printed on it), abs session which was pretty hardcore and then an hours walk on the treadmill on an incline again.

I felt pretty good today, I felt lean and still full of energy even after my final gym session (I was the last one there). I am looking forward to the comp and I feel that my focus and motivation will get me to a decent shape on the day, as long as I can maintain it for the next 3 weeks and 1 day. Tomorrow I send my progress pictures to my coach and I have treatment on my glutes and hammies. Hopefully my coach is pleased, I am excited to see what she suggests for next week.
