I am definitely feeling the effects of the increased training and cardio as my glutes were very tender today. I start my day off slightly differently as my beloved stairway to heaven is occupied by someone else when I arrive at the gym, but its ok as its my friend Kerin and I know she will treat the Stairway in the correct manner. So I do an hour on the treadmill, fast walk on an incline listening to 80’s songs. I pop on the heels and manage to get in the studio for some posing practise. Again to me it looks like my arms are becoming stringy but my waist looks leaner so that’s a positive. I might need to take a picture to help explain what I mean.
I manage to get out for my lunch and go for my brisk walk again up and down the hills at work. I was on a low carb day today so was expecting to feel quite hungry primarily due to the increase in exercise but also because I missed a meal yesterday. Surprisingly I manage the whole day without feeling like I am going to die of starvation which is a first for me. Speaking of firsts, today Phil (who is exactly 1 foot taller than me) learnt all about my code words for when I book treatments at the beauty place. Today I booked in for my eyelashes, nails and waxing so that I am ready for my comp. So obviously when you are sat at your desk you cant say down the phone can I book in for a Hollywood wax, because you can be sure that the person booking you in will ask ‘do you want everything off’ to which you have to respond with a ‘yes full hair removal please’. So I have devised the following code words (feel free to use them); Shop window is for front waxing only – and yes we are talking downstairs on a lady here, Shop front and stock cupboard means everything off, not a single hair is left. Needless to say when I explained this to Phil after he asked what kind of treatment that was, a very long moment of silence passed between us and then normal service was resumed.
It was shoulders today, my favourite workout. Followed by a legs finisher (which did finish them today), abs session and a final 30 minutes on the treadmill. I then did something different with the rest of my evening and to me it was also a brave thing. I went to the cinema by myself to watch Beauty and the Beast, which was a good film and it lifted my spirits. The best part was the noise of disgust everyone made when the Beast turns back into a man and he isn’t that attractive, in fact he looks better as a beast.
Great day today, energy still up, hangry levels low, rage levels low and focus is at 100%. Need to keep blasting away at this fat for another 24 days – I can do it, I will not have a wobbly arse on stage.
