I am looking positively tropical going into day 51 and my mood and energy is up. Started off the morning listening to the latest meditation track on the new app I have downloaded (it’s called Headspace if anyone is interested).
Fasted cardio is again another visit to the stairway to heaven followed by some ab work (now they have recovered from the extreme bloating).
Tolerance levels on people asking me about body building, diets etc seems to be ok today and I actually engage in a couple of conversations about it at work.
I have a new routine which involves mucking the horse out straight after work and then going straight to the gym. I used to try and fit in some riding during the week but wouldn’t be leaving the gym till 9:30. So in my last 7 weeks I have decided to try and give myself more rest and sleep time during the week. Of course the horse loves it, no exercise and still loads of food.
Trained legs this evening with some chest thrown in for good measure. It seems the stairway to heaven is working as I could really feel my hammies and glutes firing quite early on in my session. Finished off with a fast walk on the steepest incline known to mankind for 30 minutes. I have started watching vlogs by @rebeccalovesfitness. One vlog was her talking about her current state 3 weeks out from comp. She talks about the highs and lows, the extreme tiredness, always feeling cold and thinking that you are still too fat. I am experiencing all these thoughts/feelings on a daily basis. It was comforting to hear that someone else (and probably lots of people) have experienced what I am in prep, even professionals. Go check her out on Instagram or YouTube. She is very inspirational and is helping me through my second cardio sessions in the evenings.
Finished the evening off with another meditation listening. Tomorrow morning I need to weigh myself and take progress photos. A bit anxious about it due to having Sunday and Monday off from diet and food. I suppose though it is what it is. The results will determine the next steps. Eek…
