It’s been a while since I have blogged and a lot of not so interesting stuff has happened, but I am back. This time however there is a different subject I will be blogging about; completing the Engine 2 – 7 Day Plant based reset with one of my fabulous clients. Now I love meat, I mean really love meat so this is going to be quite a challenge for me. There are two reasons why I am completing this challenge, firstly to support my client and secondly to see what impact a plant based diet has on my currently lifestyle and training.

So Day 1 has been a bit of an eye opener as I can’t remember the last time I consumed so much fruit and veg. Although I haven’t felt hungry at all (this could be due to the amount of food I consumed on Sunday keeping me going), I am incredibly windy to the point I think I might blow away up into the sky and fall back down to earth all floppy and deflated like a helium balloon that has lost all its puff. I also feel bloated as in full of food bloated not just farty bloated. I am thinking this is probably due to the drastic shift in my macros going from a high fat and protein diet to a high carb diet. It will be interesting to see how my body responds to this diet as I seem to work more efficiently on a high fat diet.
I have become fascinated by Poke Bowls and will attempt one every evening for tea using different veg/fruit/carb combinations. So get ready for loads of boring food pictures.
I struggled to think of an exciting ending to the blogs like the good old days, but unfortunately the random messages on Facebook have almost stopped – no more Facebook ‘friend’ message of the Day. To replace this we will now have Phil (who is 1 foot taller than me) Insult of the Day;
Me: All these veggies and fruits are making me go to the toilet quite a lot
Phil: Does this Tupperware contain the contents of your last toilet visit?
Me: No Phil, that’s a Jamaican curry I made and brought in for you
