Day 55 – Trying not to sweat too much

With my new found freedom in terms of time due to the 24 hour gym I have joined, I decided to enjoy my Sunday. I didn’t wake till around 8am which is late for me so I must have needed the sleep. As I was late with yesterday’s blog due to being a social butterfly for the first time ever, I wrote my blog in bed with my protein porridge and extra strong coffee.

I went totally wild and changed my routine completely and went to the stables before the gym – totally outrageous of me. The horse and I went out for a nice relaxing stroll around the field with maybe a few cheeky gallops now and then. I haven’t been able to ride my horse for a few weeks due to the amount of exercise I was doing, however as my horse is very lazy there were no concerns that he could be a wild beast because he is fresh due to not being exercised. How wrong was I. Two other people from the stables had gone out ahead of me to have a nice quiet walk around the fields and as I left the yard my horse bloody clocked them and decided to turn into a wild stallion from hell, calling out to the other horses in front and throwing himself left right and centre. I decided that a smart thing to do would be to gallop up some hills and take the edge off him. That didn’t work as he used this as a way to get closer to the other horses. After dodging tree branches and managing to stop in time before hitting a dry stone wall (my horse doesn’t jump as it takes more effort), we return to the yard both puffing and panting and looking stressed not relaxed. I should point out that when he is naughty I do get the giggles which makes the situation look worse but means I enjoy myself.

Off to the gym for my first cardio session and this is on the stairway to heaven but this time I am wearing a headband to prevent the rivers of sweat that normally pour down my face from ruining my new eyebrows. It kind of works but I still end up having to wipe above my eyebrows every 5 minutes and trying to make myself taller for the built in fans to actually hit my face.

Back home and its meal time and sleeping time as I felt knackered. Back up at 6pm as I had booked myself onto an abs class at the new gym. I arrive and it looks like they have already started which is strange because I am early which is a first for me as I am always late. I check the website for the class timetable and I have got the start time wrong by 10 minutes. So off I go onto the treadmill for 30 minutes, fast walk on an incline without too much sweating. Tonight’s weights session was overall arms and back again – I am saving my legs for my killer session with my coach tomorrow. After my weights session I jumped back on the treadmill for another 30 minutes.

It felt good being back in the gym today, I am looking a bit fluffy but that should come off quickly. I can’t wait to train with Sandi tomorrow and get my new training and diet plan.
