Day 31 – a C-Bomb and invasion in my mirror

So firstly I need to explain why I missed yesterday’s blog and that is because I did something normal and went to the cinema in the evening and didn’t get back till late with porridge and gym bag packing to complete. So this blog will contain updates from day 32 and day 31.

Day 32

**Disclaimer – Day 32 contains an extreme swear word which some viewers may find distressing**

Started off pretty well, woke up in an extremely good mood and completed my hours worth of acrobatics on the stairway to heaven followed by my abs routine. Got to work and even though I was starving I was still in a good mood. Now this behaviour, which is new to me lasted until mid afternoon and was running behind with my meals. So as I get my next meal and start to leave my desk there is a tapping noise to my right and someone repeatedly saying my name, over and over again. As I look I notice that Phil (who is exactly one foot taller than me) is hitting my new teapot (which I painted and contains a secret swear word inside) with his pen. Well this kind of disrespect for other peoples property and that fact that I am actually now starving beyond belief sends me over the edge. As I kindly but forcefully ask Phil to pack it in before I kill him, Gary asks Phil at the top of his voice to stop tapping Niki’s cunt. This quick and witty remark from Gary, reduces my rage levels somewhat but when Phil asks what can he do to help and I reply by telling him to die, I know I need to double up on meals.

Tuesday is shoulder day which is my favourite workout. I am starting to look leaner so the shoulder pump is happening fairly quickly in my workout and is quite noticeable, much to the disappointment to some of the guys working out in the gym that compare their shoulders to mine and look a little disheartened. This makes me chuckle a bit but also drives me to push harder with my weights. I hope that doesn’t sound weird, like I have developed some kind of muscle perversion. I finish my session with a 50 minute fast walk on an incline watching the vlogs on other peoples prep experiences.

I finish the day by doing something normal and go to the cinema without becoming distraught about not being able to eat popcorn. Energy levels still high, focus is good but rage levels not so good.

Before I move to Day 31, an avid reader of my blog has requested pictures, so Day 31 will contain a picture of my inspiration board.

Day 31

I wake up absolutely starving and late due to being out at the cinema the night before and not getting to bed early. I think I got around 5 hours sleep, I am hoping that I am not going to be cranky all day. Fasted cardio this morning is on the treadmill as I fancied a change, however as I got up late I don’t have time to complete my abs routine.

Work progresses as normal and I don’t seem to be that cranky just quiet. I do seem to have developed a cold which is not going to make things easy in prep, but hopefully it is just the sniffles and it goes in a couple of days time.

Workout tonight is back which is my second favourite workout, I also need to fit in my abs routine and posing practise as well as my final cardio session. I had zero motivation driving to the gym and I think that is because I am tired. However I discover that the song ‘Dude looks like a lady’ by Aerosmith somehow revitalises my energy levels and I smash out an awesome back workout. I move straight on to abs and decide to do my posing practise in the gym itself using the main mirrors where everyone is working out. The logic behind this is that it should help me feel more confident posing and not make me feel nervous about lots of people watching me when I am on stage. What I had not factored in my thinking is that people in the gym, mostly men might get freaked about by a girl prancing around the gym in platform stiletto clear stripper shoes. One poor guy nearly falls off the cross trainer and has to keep on looking behind him to check that he did in fact see a woman in the gym wearing these shoes with her top rolled up prancing like a pony round to the full length mirrors. So off I go with posing practise and I start with my quarter turns. Now in order for you to full understand the situation I must explain my location. In front of me is the full length mirrors, to my right is space to complete abs workouts on the floor, to my left cross trainers and my beloved stairway to heaven and behind me the rest of the gym. Off I start facing the mirror, quarter turn to my right and I am facing the abs area, quarter turn to the right and I am facing the rest of the gym. In this position a young, lets say large framed boy walks towards me. Now this is no ordinary boy, this one is naughty. He comes into the gym every night and tries to break every machine going. I have told him off a few times but he is not bothered and neither is his father who accompanies him every night at the gym. I stay in position, Naughty Boy who has his head down on his phone continues to walk towards me. I stand firm and then start to panic as he is a metre away from me and ten times the size of me in width. At the last minute he looks up, I am still in position. With a gazelle grace like movement he glides around me. Surprised and assuming he has gone on one of the cardio machines situated on now my right side, I complete my final quarter turn to find Naughty Boy stood smack bang in the middle of the mirrors and in front of me (you cant even see that I am behind him) looking at himself. Well the headphones are off in a nanosecond and the rage is through the roof, I am just about to tell him to piss off and he looks up, realises and moves very very quickly. The guy on the cross trainer who has been mesmerised by my shoes, checks again that he hasn’t imagined the shoes and finds this situation hilarious. My rage levels quickly reduce as my gym buddy Kerin pops round to see what I am doing and says that my muscle flexing reminds her of the film Hellraiser – I take it as a compliment in a random kind of way.

Energy today was great once I got going, focus was lacking at times but some rock music soon brought me back on track. I was really tired and hungry so end up drinking a lot of decaf coffee and sleep tea to fill me up.

To finish off my blog I have included a picture of my inspiration board which I know some people will think is really sad but helps motivate me and keep me going. Every morning I get up rip off the day count down post it notes and read all the messages on it.
