Day 48 – Feeling good and looking leaner

So after a bit of a bad nights sleep, I wake up early are start listening to Eric Thomas motivational videos on YouTube as recommended by Sandi. This powers me through my food prep without picking away at food and then I am off to the gym for fasted cardio. I have chosen the treadmill again rather than the stairway to heaven – give myself a bit of a break. Back home and its breakfast time. I am feeling pretty hungry and tired so have my protein shake as well and take myself off to bed to just relax and watch television. I have learnt from last weekend to really tune into my body and if I am feeling tired to take some time to just sit down rather than keep doing more and more. I have a quick snooze and then I am back up for my next meal and a strong coffee and off to the stables to see the horse.

Can’t mess around today as we have our usual posing practice at the gym so fire through mucking the horse out. This time we are posing in shorts and sports bra, which unnerves me slightly as this will be the first time when my leg muscles or lack of are put on display. Posing goes well, good feedback on my double front and rear bicep and some good tips for side poses. My legs don’t look too bad but there is still quite a bit of fat to strip off them. However, they are not commented on and Mags thinks that I am looking leaner. We talk about the importance of keeping your mind stable during prep and how I benefitted from taking two days off towards the end of last week. It turns out one of the other girls had to do the same a couple of weeks back.

Still feeling tired so quickly eat my next meal and head off to do a quick food shop and then head back home. Take myself straight to bed to have a quick nap before bingo – very important that one is fully functioning for bingo.

The sights and delights of bingo in Burnley amaze me and we have a brilliant night, I even manage to get a full house. I don’t think anyone has ever screamed as much as I did when I won never mind pant like a mad woman leading up to the win. Another good day spent with a good friend taking my mind off diets, training and competing and helping me unwind. Back home to prep food for Monday and I come up with some new concoctions to make my salmon and turkey breast taste more interesting. I excel at it so much that I end up picking at some of the food which is ok as I somehow missed my last meal.

So Sunday, all in all another great day albeit I have been very tired and quite busy. My stress levels are low, energy low but manageable but still loving the process.
